Jammin' at the Round Barn Winery in Baroda, MI on Sunday!!

Live music every eek-end all summer long!!

Worked hard all morning spreading mulch and relaxed all afternoon 

in SW Michigan.

They have a brewery and distillery on site as well.

Next time I am taking my grand dog, Webster!!

Stopped at Greenbush Brewery in Sawyer, MI and it was packed.

No beer sales in Indiana on Sundays so we head to Michigan!!

And a growler to go, please!!

A Tale of Two Brothers

I just returned from a very important trip to Iowa.

I attended the funeral of my dad's brother - John Henry Strawn.

My dad is the one on the left in the photo and John is in the photo on the right.

My dad passed away 30 years ago today at the age of 69.

John passed away last Friday at the age of 97.

Two very fine men - only 21 months apart in age.

Ralph "Red" Strawn  Jan. 17, 1914 - May 22, 1983 

& 

John Henry Strawn  Oct. 12, 1915 - May 17, 2013

Their older brother, Ronald, passed away in 2001 at the age of 90.

Their youngest sister, Shirley, also died 30 years ago, at the age of 50.

Brothers Dale, age 95, and Wayne "Shorty", 84 

and sister Wilmarie, will be 92 in July. 

This is such a great family to be apart of.

I cherish all of the memories and look forward to a family reunion in July.

A HAPPY Mother's Day!!!

Yes, indeed, I had another Happy Mother's Day on Sunday.

Spent the day with my girls, Alison and Natalie - and my grand dog Webster!

He has a stuffed tomato in his mouth - his comfort toy!!

Dennis spent the great day with us, too!!

We had brunch at The Old Oak Tap in Chicago.

And a super fun gift - 

Kate Spade Keds with royal blue polka dots!!!

Who could wish for anything more???
